Permanent Residence (PR) Application

A Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) refers to someone who has been given Singapore PR status by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore. However, they are not full-fledged Singapore Citizens.
Singapore PRs have the right to live, work and integrate into the fabric of Singaporean society just like ordinary citizens. As a Singapore PR, one stands to enjoy Visa Flexibility, Family Proximity, Education Priority, Career Flexibility, Comfortable Retirement, Property Ownership Perks, Tax Reliefs, Entrepreneurship Ambitions, Citizenship.

As a foreigner, you may be eligible to apply for permanent residence if you are a/an:

  • Spouse of a Singapore citizen (SC) or Singapore permanent resident (SPR)
  • Unmarried child aged below 21 born within the context of a legal marriage to, or have been legally adopted by, a SC or PR
  • Aged parent of a SC
  • Holder of an Employment Pass or S Pass
  • Student studying in Singapore
  • Foreign investor in Singapore
